"I was for the filibuster, before I was against it."

I can hear the Church Lady on Church Chat now, "Can you say HY-PO-CRITE?"

This goes right along with Obama's "I was against raising the debt ceiling, before I was for it."

These people are literally making me sick. Folks, if this move today in the Senate along with Obama’s creation and execution of new executive powers and ObamaCare don’t have you’re heads spinning in disgust and outrage then you need to wake up!!

In 2005, when the Democrats were in the MINORITY, Harry Reid gave a floor speech arguing the vital importance of the filibuster rule. Here is part of that speech...

Mr. President, yesterday morning I spoke here about a statement the Majority Leader issued calling the filibuster a “procedural gimmick.”

“…And this is exactly what the filibuster does. It encourages moderation and consensus. It gives voice to the minority, so that cooler heads may prevail.

Mr. President, the filibuster is a critical tool in keeping the majority in check. This central fact has been acknowledged and even praised by Senators from both parties.

But when legislation only has the support of the minority, the filibuster slows the legislation …prevents a Senator from ramming it through…and gives the American people enough time join the opposition.

Mr. President, the right to extended debate is never more important than when one party controls Congress and the White House. In these cases, the filibuster serves as a check on power and preserves our limited government.

For 200 years, we’ve had the right to extended debate. It’s not some “procedural gimmick.” It’s within the vision of the Founding Fathers of our country. They established a government so that no one person – and no single party – could have total control.

Some in this Chamber want to throw out 217 years of Senate history in the quest for absolute power.

They want to do away with Mr. Smith coming to Washington. They want to do away with the filibuster. They think they are wiser than our Founding Fathers.” 

So let’s go through the checklist now that Harry Reid and the Democrats are in the MAJORITY…

• The filibuster is now a “procedural gimmick.”  
• Debate is no longer an option.
• Ramming a bill through so fast before the American people can join the opposition…(Oh wait, we already had that — ObamaCare — and look where that got us.)
• Now it’s fine and dandy to throw out 200 years of Senate history. (Those guys who wrote the Constitution were just a bunch of stupid bigots and racists.)
• The filibuster is not needed to encourage moderation and consensus. (It’s Harry’s way or the highway.) 
• The filibuster is no longer necessary to give the minority a voice. (We won the election so you losers shut the heck up!) 
• The filibuster is not needed to keep the majority in check. (We won so we should be able to do ANYTHING we want.)
• The filibuster is not needed to put a check on power and preserve limited government. 
• One party SHOULD have total control. 
• Democrats believe they are wiser than our Founding Fathers.

I wonder how ole John McCain feels today as his “friends” across the aisle just cut him off at the knees? Thank goodness Democrats and the President are doing everything they can to bring this country together. (Sarcasm implied.)

It's amazing to me how in just a few short years (sometimes even weeks) something that could be so evil and so detrimental to our country can — in the blink of an eye — be perfectly fine and acceptable. 

In 2006, Obama said raising the debt ceiling was "a sign of leadership failure." He went on to say, "Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.” Obama said raising the debt limit WEAKENED our country. In 2013, Republicans who opposed raising the debt were called terrorists. When Obama did it he was called patriotic.
 
In 2005, Reid said the filibuster was a vital tool that, "...serves as a check on power and preserves our limited government." It was important to provide checks and balances and to eliminate one party rule. Now Reid says "Congress is broken." So he in his infinite wisdom, being much wiser than our Founding Fathers, can erase over 200 years of history and do away with the filibuster rule.

Poof, in less than a decade, ideals that both men supposedly held in such high regard are just relegated to a dung heap. Do politicians ever wonder why their words, their promises, their assurances, their "read my lips",  and their "periods"...fall on deaf and callous ears?

Marginalization: It's just 3-5% losing their substandard plans

Remember this sleazy ad from the last election? You know the one that basically said Mitt Romney killed a lady.

"I don't think Mitt Romney knows what he's done to people's lives by closing the plant.

I don't think he realized that people's lives completely changed.

When Mitt Romney and Bain closed the plant I lost my healthcare, and my family lost their healthcare."

The gentleman goes on to blame the fact that they couldn't afford healthcare and that is why his wife died.

"I don't think Mitt Romney realizes what he's done to anyone, and furthermore I don't think Mitt Romney is concerned."

This ad was found to be misleading at the very least. It was uncovered that his wife had insurance a year or two past the plant closing and her illness took place five years after he lost his job. Now do I sympathize with this man? Of course I do. Was it Mitt's fault...no!

So where am I going with this?

Well the media went nuts with this ad. They jumped all over it. And this was one man 's story. Now fast forward to today, MILLIONS of people ARE losing their healthcare because of the DIRECT input of Obama and his regulations. Despite his promises and assurances that they could keep their doctor and their plan.
 
All Obama, Carney, and left-wing spin doctors do is marginalize the millions losing their plans. It's just 3-5%, they say. It's only 5 million people. Of course even with that they don't tell the truth. It's 5 million plans in which most have a spouse and/or kids on that plan.

So when it was time to re-elect Obama the media being the ever vigilant mouthpiece of Obama tried their darndest to make it stick that multimillionaire Mitt was heartless and cruel. He didn't care that a family lost their healthcare coverage.

Now when MILLIONS of families are faced with that same situation — it's just a small percentage and, by the way, your plans were substandard. One more thing, it's not Obama's fault that you're getting a cancellation notice it's because the insurance companies are mean, evil, and greedy.

I think a similar ad should be made and insert Obama's name in place of Romney.

I don't think Barack Obama realizes what he's done to anyone, and furthermore I don't think Barack Obama is concerned.
 
Let's with close with these two victims of ObamaCare...

One cancer patient has come forward because he lost HIS PERFECTLY GOOD insurance and now because he can't afford ObamaCare he is choosing to let nature take it's course.

Another lady, Edie Sundby, with stage four cancer who dared tell her story of loosing coverage was smeared by the White House who quickly blamed her insurance company. It's never Obama's fault. Don't you just love an administration who attacks a woman with cancer? No empathy offered, just attacks. Class act.

MSNBC quit making EVERYTHING about race! (aka Fire Martin Bashir!)

OK, enough is finally enough with the making EVERYTHING about race at MSNBC.

How the idiots on that cable news network get from Point A to Point Racist could really make your head explode.

Last year Rush Limbaugh, a radio personality, was raked over the coals for calling Sandra Fluke a name because she thinks everyone should kick in to pay for her birth control pills in order for her to carry out her promiscuous lifestyle. It was something Rush quickly regretted and apologized for. All hell broke loose from those on the left and some on the right wanting to crucify Rush. And though not his wisest move, the word Rush used to describe Ms. Fluke did mean a person of "loose sexual morals or who is sexually promiscuous" which seemed to be what Ms. Fluke was advocating.

I mention the Rush incident for you to compare that to Martin Bashir talking about Sarah Palin. Let's see if there will be the same outrage from those on the left. Somehow, I doubt it.
 
So, Martin Bashir a host on what was once a major cable news channel says the following about Sarah Palin...

 "...America’s resident dunce"

"...scraping the barrel of her long deceased mind"

"Given her well-established reputation as a world class idiot"

"When Mrs. Palin invoked slavery, she doesn’t just prove her rank ignorance"

Then this class act thinks because Palin dared to compare our $16 trillion in debt to slavery for future generations that she should be subjected to the same treatment as slaves. Mainly that someone should #1 and #2 in her mouth.

Will anybody call out this man on these disgusting and despicable comments? Will advertisers drop MSNBC? We are talking about a former governor and VP candidate for crying out loud. Is there no respect? Name calling is one thing, but thinking it would be just punishment for someone to go #1 and #2 in her mouth? You sir, are sick and pathetic.

Mr. Bashir you show your rank ignorance because if you bothered to crack a dictionary you could look up the definition of slavery and see Palin is correct. The debt looming over us IS putting our children and grandchildren in bondage, enslavement, and servitude.

Mr. Bashir you and others on your network need to realize slavery can be applied to many things. The word slavery does not just evoke what was done here in America you DUNCE. You and others on your network need to resist from making EVERYTHING about race.

When Rick Perry said the debt was hanging over us like a "black cloud" while running for president, Ed Schultz of MSNBC couldn't get to the camera quick enough to claim racism. Schultz said that big "black cloud" Perry talked about was Barack Obama. No sir, he was talking about THE DEBT. And guess what? If MSNBC wouldn't have strategically and surgically edited out the very next word in the Perry sound byte, they could have heard him say, "that big black cloud that hangs over America, that debt."

Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC said Mitch McConnell was bringing race into the picture because he criticized Obama from playing too much golf and not paying attention to his job. So you see the brilliant line of logic from O'Donnell right? See, Obama is black and he golfs, so McConnell was actually comparing him to Tiger Woods who is black, and golfs, and cheats on his wife with porn stars. Makes sense right?!?!? See without the keen insight of Mr. O'Donnell we all might have missed that.

It's kind of like the, "How do you know she's a witch?" line of reasoning from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

I'm sure Bashir, Schultz, and O'Donnell would all say that Palin is a dunce. However, when you look at the line of logic from just these three morons of misconstrued logic at MSNBC... they need to don the dunce cap and be sent to the corner of the class.

Will you people, and I use that term loosely, at MSNBC please quit dragging race into everything? Intelligent people can disagree with our president and not be racists and bigots. I dislike our president because he lies, because he's incompetent, and because I believe his policies are genuinely destructive for America.

I'm so glad the left has heeded Obama's words from the Tucson shooting about entering a New Era of civility.
 
"At a time when our discourse has become so sharply polarized, at a time when we are far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than we do, it’s important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds."

So come on MSNBC, enough is enough.

P.S. And just think I didn't include any clips of Chris Matthews. That could take several weeks to compile all the things he believes that Republicans have said that are racist.

One other thing to note about my comparison of what was said by Rush and Bashir. Rush's comment about Ms. Fluke was an off the cuff remark. Bashir's comments regarding Palin were a thought out, composed, and then transposed to the teleprompter for him to read word for word. Did no one on that show producers, etc. stop for one second and think that what Bashir said was disgusting and vile? Is there no one at MSNBC with an once of respect? That last question was rhetorical.

I'm starting to think the President doesn't want you to keep the healthcare plan you like

Tonight the White House just announced President Obama will veto bill H.R. 3350 "Keep Your Plan Act" if it's passed.

Think about that for a second.

Let's look at how we got here, shall we...

• Obama campaigns endlessly spouting the "like it-keep it" guarantee. Period.
• Then we learn Obama is responsible for inserting the regulations into the ObamaCare bill forcing insurance companies to drop coverage.
• Next millions receive cancellation notices. Resulting in millions of angry and upset people.
• That leads to Senate Dems up for re-election running for their lives. They let Obama know they are very, very concerned about the millions losing their plans and being lied to by the President losing their jobs.
• Then our benevolent dictator stipulates from on high that he is saddened by this mess, isn't sure how it happened, but he thinks it would be nice if you could keep your healthcare plan that you liked and then got cancelled because of him...
• But, you get just a one year reprieve from the Almighty.
• That gets us past the next election and Obama hopes that spares the Senate Dems that are in a precarious position.
• The Republicans and Democrats actually work together to propose bill H.R. 3350 allowing you to do what the President was re-elected on and that is to keep the healthcare plan you like.
• This displeases the maniacal Obama who knows that would be the death knell for his namesake ObamaCare and vows to veto any such measure.

Because like all of us know by now he really, really doesn't want you to keep the healthcare plan you like. That was never his intention. He never meant it. He knew that could not happen and still have a viable government marketplace.

When you analyze the man I think he may struggle with BPD (borderline personality disorder).

Let's look at some warning signs...

1. Problems with regulating emotions and thoughts
He gets flustered easily. He always needs a teleprompter to have a coherent thought. He gets very testy when he is put on the spot by his loyal servants otherwise known as the mainstream media.

2. Impulsive and reckless behavior
He makes up new executive powers as he goes along. He may as well use the Constitution as toilet paper for the respect he shows it. He lies. He has others lie for him. He never knows what is going on with the people working under him.

3. Unstable relationships with other people.
He says he wants to work with Republicans and in the next breath criticizes and demeans them. Former aides say he isn't close to anyone and really doesn't like people. He only surrounds himself with "yes" people.

Earlier today I posted that Obama NOW saying you can keep your plans is like a farmer saying a chicken can have his head back, after it's been chopped off.

As my so wife aptly stated, "it's not going back on."

WHY OBAMA LIED…it’s pretty simple really

Folks, think for a second WHY did Obama go around saying the following more than two dozens times?

“If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. Period.”

Did he say that because he knew people just really, really hated their plans?

NO!!

He said this because HE KNEW a majority of people LIKED their healthcare plans.

If the opposite were true, if a majority of people HATED their plans the President’s talking points would have been, “You don’t like your sub standard healthcare plans, we’re going to help you get better plans.”

Obama is a scheming, deceiving, manipulative person (not unlike other politicians) who thrives by telling people what they WANT to hear.

If he actually thought – if his advisers actually thought – that a majority of Americans really hated their plans, HE WOULD HAVE SOLD IT THAT WAY.

Our deceptive President knew most people were happy with their healthcare plans.

That is why our Huckster-in-Chief PROMISED (lied) — “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. Period.”

HE DID NOT MISPEAK. 

HE DID NOT FAIL TO CLARIFY. 

HE FLAT OUT LIED!!

Think of it this way would he have been re-elected if he told the truth?

“We have deemed your current healthcare plans as sub standard. Millions of you are going to lose the healthcare plans you like and can afford, you can't keep them. Period. We are going to force you to buy plans that will cover things you don't want or use. Period. The plans will be more expensive, with higher premiums, higher deductibles, higher co-pays, and higher out-of-pocket. Period."

DEFINITION OF AN ENROLLEE

This Washington Post article shows the administration knows no bounds to their lies, lying about lies, and deceptive techniques to prop up ObamaCare and the pitiful enrollment numbers thus far.

Now the administration is changing what an "enrollee" is. An enrollee is no longer someone who has completed the process and is an actual paying customer. An enrollee is now anyone who got through the process and placed an order in the shopping cart, BUT has yet to actually purchase the product. That in the eyes of the administration is an enrollee. Is that how Amazon determines a book being SOLD...if it is just in your cart? I don't think so.

FIRM EMABARRASSED TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH HEALTHCARE.GOV

Teal Media was the design firm for HealthCare.gov. They removed all references from their site to their work they did on HealthCare.gov I'm sure due to embarrassment of being associated in any way with the failed website now worldwide. Once the story was reported, they quickly added the references to HeathCare.gov back on their site. HOWEVER, they want you to know that they are ONLY responsible for the "look and feel" of the website. I'm not sure they should have caved to the pressure. I think their original plan to distance themselves completely from the HealthCare.gov was the wiser move. I wonder how much business will drop off?

Apparently an NFL head coach needs to be more hands on than the President of the United States

Many of you are probably aware by now of the scandal revolving around the Miami Dolphins. It seems that one player (Ingcognito) bullied another player (Martin) to the point that the Martin walked off the team.

The media has been in a flurry to investigate what did the coaches know and when did they know it. I believe they are secretly hoping for a sequel to "A Few Good Men" replacing Marines with professional football players even throwing around the term Code Red. 

Yes, the media seems to love a good scandal unless it involves our current president.

CNN recently had  a healine to an online article covering the Dolphins story that read like this...Dolphins' Incognito-Martin mess: Is coach Philbin to blame?

Apparently, in the eyes of the media, a head coach of an NFL team needs to be more hands on than the President of the United States.

Why don't we see any headlines like this when it comes to the person running our country? Where are the CNN and New York Times headlines, "Is Obama to blame?" when it comes to Benghazi, IRS targeting, DOJ/NSA spying and wiretapping, Fast & Furious, ObamaCare failure, and the multitude of other scandals that have marked Obama's presidency?

Am I to infer that a head coach in the NFL should know more about what is going on in his organization than the President is supposed to know about what is going on in his administration?

I agree, but why don't reporters have the same expectations of Obama? Something like this...
