I'm sorry that people are stupid

Paraphrase of the President's so called "apology" on NBC.

"Um… ah… I'm sorry. I'm sorry the American people are too stupid to understand the english language. I'm sorry they didn't realize that I didn't mean period as in emphasizing a point. I was just reading the teleprompter and I saw the period at the end the sentence I was reading and I mistakenly spoke the punctuation out loud.

Now, am I sorry all these people are getting their insurance policies cancelled? No. I mean come on. How stupid are people? The Republicans were running around for years warning everyone about the disastrous effects of my bill. The American people should have known what was going to happen. I got reelected so that is all that matters.

It's not my fault the media didn't do their job and report things like they should have. I mean did you expect ME to tell 15 million people my goal all along was for them to be forced out of their current health care plans? And truth be told, millions and millions more will lose their coverage once the employer mandate kicks in. But hey, we got that pushed back until after the 2014 elections. If that kicked in any sooner not a single Democrat would get elected.
Now I'm a busy person, let me get back to work of fundamentally changing the country. I've still got some time left in office and I've got a few more surprises up my sleeve. Remember when I said, "nobody is going to take your guns away." See it's like the whole "period" confusion. I said "nobody" is going to take your guns away. But "somebody" will. See what I did there? Again if people are too stupid to figure that out it's their own fault. Hey, I'm a narcissist. I can play these word games all day long."
